  • When should I seek treatment for bunion?

Although bunions often require no medical treatment, see a doctor who specializes in treating foot disorders if you have:

  • Ongoing big toe or foot pain
  • A visible bump on your big toe joint
  • Decreased movement of your big toe or foot
  • Difficulty finding shoes that fit properly because of a bunion

  • What is bursitis?

Bursitis is an inflammation or irritation of a bursa, which is a fluid-filled sac located around a joint. Bursitis causes a reduction in or a loss of motion at the affected joint. Bursitis typically occurs in the heel, hip, knee, shoulder, or thumb.

  • What is tendonitis?

Tendonitis, medically known as tendinitis, is an inflammation or irritation of a tendon. Chronic strain, overuse or misuse of a tendon leading to a repetitive stress injury, or a serious acute injury can lead to a weakness, tear, or swelling of the tendon tissue, resulting in pain and stiffness near the tendon. Tendonitis usually occurs in the elbow, hip, knee, shoulder, thumb, or wrist, but can occur anywhere there is a tendon.

Patients' Testimonials

Thank you Dr Kevin for the tremendous medical care tendered, and providing such an exceptional
excellent professional service over the years! Since I first visited Dr Kevin back in 2018, I have always
felt extremely confident in his knowledge of my toe condition, and his skills in the operating theatre. Dr
Kevin constantly makes an effort to keep in touch with me on my medical condition. Beyond his
medical professionalism spirit, I strongly felt his genuine kindness and dedication. Strongly
recommend Dr Kevin Koo, for orthopaedic related conditions!

I took my daughter who suffered a bad finger sprain from netball to see Dr Koo. Some doctors are
very good at what they do but do not like to communicate much; some doctors are very friendly and
nice but your condition does not improve after consultation. Dr Koo was not only competent, he was
friendly, patient and extremely gentle. He took the time to explain the injury to us and reassured us
that although the finger was slightly out-of-shape, it would make a full functional recovery with proper
care. Thank you Dr Koo, my daughter's finger has made a complete recovery.

The best medical service I have ever experienced (without any exaggeration). I do admire medical
doctors who can combine friendly, professional approach with that unquantifiable human touch that
makes you feel comfortable and reassured that you are in good hands. Dr Kevin Koo is certainly one
of such doctors. At every single stage of treating my ruptured Achilles tendon he provided succinct but
comprehensive outlines of my options, offered expert guidance and suggestions, without imposing
anything on me. He and his fantastic team (thank you Sharon!) saw me through the surgery and put
me on the path of recovery. Subsequently, if needed, at anytime, they were just a text message away.
I am really grateful for all their hard work. My highest recommendation.
